Hygroscopic crystal materials deteriorate when they are not usually saved in sufficiently dry air (or even a dry purge gas). This is applicable e.g. to KDP and BBO, and in a lesser extent to LBO. It could be useful to maintain such a crystal in a somewhat elevated temperature, which makes it much easier to preserve it dry.If the crystal surfaces a
